{"id":755,"date":"2022-03-30T16:07:41","date_gmt":"2022-03-30T16:07:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.dh8wr.com\/?p=755"},"modified":"2022-03-30T16:07:41","modified_gmt":"2022-03-30T16:07:41","slug":"suspension-of-the-russian-federation-and-belarus-from-cept-membership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.dh8wr.com\/index.php\/2022\/03\/30\/suspension-of-the-russian-federation-and-belarus-from-cept-membership\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspension of the Russian Federation and Belarus from CEPT Membership"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"news-desc\">\n<p><strong>Outcome of the written procedure with the CEPT Assembly regarding suspension of the Russian Federation and Belarus from CEPT Membership.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Based on a request from a number of CEPT members, the CEPT Presidency carried out a written procedure, in accordance with the CEPT Arrangement, on the proposal to suspend indefinitely and with immediate effect the memberships of the Russian Federation and Belarus in the CEPT.<\/p>\n<p>Thirty-four responses were received to the CEPT Assembly letter in support of the proposal and one abstention.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the above, the CEPT Assembly has therefore decided:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>to suspend indefinitely memberships of the Russian Federation and Belarus in the CEPT.<\/li>\n<li>that the suspension of the said CEPT members will take effect as from 00:00 (CET), 18 March 2022.<\/li>\n<li>that any future readmission to the CEPT would follow the usual rules established in the CEPT Arrangement, notably the need for a two-thirds majority of members of the CEPT to endorse such a decision.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Moreover, the CEPT Presidency requested the Office to take all necessary measures in order to set in place the above-mentioned decisions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The CEPT Presidency<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cept.org\/cept\/news\/suspension-of-the-russian-federation-and-belarus-from-cept-membership\/\">https:\/\/cept.org\/cept\/news\/suspension-of-the-russian-federation-and-belarus-from-cept-membership\/<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Outcome of the written procedure with the CEPT Assembly regarding suspension of the Russian Federation and Belarus from CEPT Membership.
